TUCKER (Atlanta), GA – March 31, 2015 – LMI, Atlanta’s premiere high and low voltage solutions provider, announced it has completed its office technology build-out for data and advertising company Cardlytics. The project encompassed both Ethernet and 10 gigabit fiber structured networks as well as advanced access control and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. The Cardlytics move represented a consolidation of its four Atlanta-based offices into one 75,000+ square foot site in the renovated, circa-1926 Sears, Roebuck & Company building in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta.

“This was a really rewarding project for us, not only because it represented an innovative build-out, but also because we were working at the revitalized Ponce City Market location with a company known for its technology leadership, as well,” said Heath Hunt, VP of Technology Operations of LMI “Involving an ingenious network solution and an advanced, video-based controlled access and camera system, it really showcased the best of LMI’ work.”

For the office, Cardlytics wanted an entirely open architecture, so traditional solutions, such as running cable to the base plate of the office furniture, would not work. LMI installed more than 320,000 feet of Ethernet and fiber optic cabling across and through the ceiling and ran cable drops for the 60 end-user locations inside 15 structural poles that spanned the space.

For the video-controlled access system, Cardlytics initially wanted employees to be able to answer the door with video and release it from any computer on the network. When that solution proved prohibitively expensive, LMI developed an affordable alternative that allows up to 10 users to view video at the door and unlock it from their computer stations.

“LMI and Cardlytics are both growing, progressive firms,” said Hunt. “At Ponce City Market, they join other forward-thinking technology leaders such as Twitter and MailChimp. LMI is proud to have been honored with helping create such a showcase office space in that environment.”
