LMI Systems, Inc. Hires Rick Purnell to Lead Product Sales Group

Rick PurnellTUCKER, GA – April 21, 2016 – LMI Systems, Inc., Atlanta’s premiere high and low voltage solutions provider, today announced that it has hired sales veteran Rick Purnell as its new Vice President of Sales, Professional Service Group (PSG). In that capacity, Purnell will be responsible for managing and mentoring LMI’s PSG team, building prospect databases and identifying additional market and sales opportunities, and developing new business in the many service lines the PSG team handles.

“My first professional position was with a low-voltage specialty products firm, and in the 30-plus years since, I have built my career with technical and communications firms—many of whom work with LMI’s partners,” said Purnell. “Not only is the company’s service line a perfect fit for my skillset; LMI’s vision and mission align with my own professional outlook, as well. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Purnell worked for quality firms in progressively responsible positions, from Service Manager to Regional Sales Manager and finally, National Account Manager. Immediately before joining LMI, Purnell was Director of Sales for SVB Foods, where his responsibilities ran the gamut from organizing annual trade shows and devising strategies to increase market share to promoting the company’s products through a diverse sales pipeline. In that capacity, he routinely couched his team to exceed its quarterly and annual goals.
